College of Education Scholars Spotlights
The Education Library, which supports the research and teaching efforts of the College of Education (COE) faculty, students and staff, is pleased to announce a new feature focused on disseminating the research of COE students (undergraduate and graduate students) and faculty.
Showcasing work throughout the library, we hope to provide another mechanism for increasing visibility of research, encouraging broader understanding of the varied work within the COE, and potentially fostering new collaborations. Beginning April 2013, we will offer display spaces for:
Often poster sessions are created for conferences and only see the light of day for a few hours. Now you or your research team can display your education-related work for a semester! If you have had a poster recently accepted (2010 to present), please consider sharing your work in the Education Library. Poster display requests are accepted on a continuous basis. To submit your poster for display, contact Marilyn N. Ochoa at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You or your research team may have a project that was recently published or presented at conference. Let us recognize your research and increase its visibility to the COE community along with users of the UF Education Library, its website, FaceBook page and research guides. We accept nominations from researchers affiliated with the COE or others who are doing significant research on education-related topics.
Benefits of being selected as Scholar or Research Team of the Month include, but are not limited to:
- your posters and/or other artifacts from your research will be displayed in the Education Library;
- we will develop a display of related resources from our collections;
- we will facilitate publishing your research materials in the UF Institutional Repository; and
- you may speak at an Education Library symposium to showcase new research at the COE (will be scheduled once a semester).
Know a scholar or research team you would like to nominate? Want to nominate yourself? Then complete the Education Library Scholars of the Month nomination form. Nominations are accepted on a continuous basis. The first scholars will be for April 2013.
Happy researching!from the faculty and staff at the Education Library
