Network settings in Adobe Contribute

Local/Network should remain the choice in the drop down list.

You can now either browse to a mapped drive or just type in your new network location:

  • If the new location is mapped to your W:\ drive, you can select Choose to open the “Select Website Path” window. In left frame, click “My Computer” and look for the web (W:) drive under Network Locations and double click that. You should then get a window with the folders on the web server that you have permission to access.
  • You can also just type in or cut-and-paste the full network path, which begins \\cns-uflib-web1\content\.. Include the proper subfolder, such as 'alephpro'.

This shot shows the new setting for the AlephPro web server location. Another possible setting would have '\\cns-uflib-web\content\alephpro'.

Once you have modified this setting, click Next

Newer versions of Contribute ask if you want to enable a tool called Subversion. We do not use Subversion so click Next if asked.

The next screen is to enter your name and email address. Since this was an edit, this information should already be filled out. Click Next.

Name settings in Adobe Contribute

The next screen asks what your role is in this web page. Most users will choose Publisher.

This screen may not appear and you may get a message saying your current role no longer exists. Either way, just continue.
