Libraries enable Research

Newspapers as Research

The Libraries preserve more than 1,100 historical Florida newspapers, providing social context to historical research. These numbers increase every week as we add new born digital titles.

Archives as Research

Home to the University’s collections of rare archival materials, including ones by Gore Vidal, Zora Neale Hurston and Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings.

Supporting Student Research

Undergraduate and graduate students can utilize high-performance computing for data-intensive research, with fully individualized librarian support.

International Partnerships

Partnerships are at the core of what Libraries do. The Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC) has over one hundred (100) Partners based in the Caribbean, Canada, Europe, and the United States. Over 4 million pages of newspapers, maps, photographs, correspondence, scholarship, and more.

Grant Support

Librarians collaborate on large interdisciplinary research grants, serving as PIs or co-PIs to lead projects that leverage their expertise in areas like data management, digital scholarship, open access publishing, and research impact. As grant partners, libraries contribute specialized knowledge and services that enhance the overall research lifecycle, from proposal development through data preservation and dissemination of research outputs.
